2026-03-07 07:22:19Hi everyone,
Iโve been thinking about something interesting lately. Many people say IQ tests measure raw intelligence, but Iโve noticed that when someone practices similar types of puzzlesโlike matrix reasoning, number patterns, or spatial rotationsโthey often get better at solving them.
So it made me wonder: are IQ tests measuring pure intelligence, or are they also measuring familiarity with certain problem types?
For example, if someone spends a few weeks regularly solving logic puzzles or pattern problems, do you think their score would increase simply because theyโve trained their brain to recognize those structures more quickly?
Iโd be curious to hear what others think. Do you believe IQ is mostly fixed, or do you think cognitive skills can be improved significantly with practice?
Looking forward to your thoughts.๐๐๐ค

2026-03-06 10:07:25Iโve always enjoyed solving logic puzzles and pattern-based challenges, so a community focused on intelligence and problem solving sounds like a great idea. Itโs interesting how different people approach the same puzzle in completely different ways.
Iโm particularly curious about the discussion side of thingsโhow people define intelligence and what kinds of puzzles they think measure it best. For example, do you think spatial reasoning puzzles reveal more about general intelligence than verbal ones?
Looking forward to seeing the riddles and challenges people post here. I might try sharing one myself soon.๐ค๐
